Our client, Żabka, invited us to refresh the design of their private label brand, HIRRO, with the main goal of strengthening its image. The brand positions itself as trendsetting and unafraid of challenges; however, the exotic flavors of the ready-made drinks were not well-distinguished on the shelf and lacked intriguing and modern packaging.
We approached the task knowing that a key determinant of consumer choice, aside from familiarity with the drink, is the dominant flavor notes. However, to avoid the brand being associated with cheap, colorful alcoholic beverages, the original colors of the drinks were highlighted by complementing the labels with custom illustrations featuring botanical motifs. Over time, in collaboration with the client, we expanded this range to include flavors such as Fire and Kamikaze, as well as limited editions, enhancing the packaging with gold-like flecks.
